In October 2008, Joseph joined the project team to build a $1.8 million dollar addition onto George and Lillian Hormel’s historic home for a destination event center for families and businesses in Austin. The project included several phases for demolition of existing building sections, asbestos removal, a new heating system, and the new addition. The scope included a large conference facility, commercial kitchen, and upscale room finishes to blend with the original Hormel mansion. Joseph value-engineered over $500,000 worth of savings, or almost 30% of the final price tag.
