The Minnesota Department of Military Affairs programmed and designed a very challenging remodel of their training and community center in Austin, MN, leaving every single space either changed or improved. Especially challenging was removal and or replacement of several load bearing walls, including removal of the former ammunition storage room which was a cast-in-place concrete vault. Scope included intricate masonry patching on the interior, and restoration of a significant portion of the exterior brick. Contract also included close to doubling the size of the parking lot and vehicle storage area.
