Austin, MN

Austin Utilities, a public entity that provides power, water, and natural gas to the City of Austin, MN, bought 26 acres of land in 2009 and designed a 102,000 SF facility to centralize their entire operation. Joseph was chosen to be the Construction Manager for this $16 million project in the summer of 2014. Then they began working closely with the owner and architect to program and complete the design for construction. Joseph designed bid packages that provided significant opportunity for local involvement and was able to secure contracts with local vendors that amounted to over 60% of the project. Joseph completed the project ahead of the 1-year scheduled duration and almost $1 million under budget. Joseph received the Eagle Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors in 2016 for this project which is the highest level of recognition from this industry trade association for excellence in construction.
